COLABORACIONES ENTRE ESPAÑA E INVESTIGADORES DEL MIT

The MIT-Spain "la Caixa" Foundation Seed Fund has opened a call for proposals until 18 September 2017. The Fund is offering an opportunity for research collaboration between Spanish researchers and their counterparts at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

With a maximum grant of $30,000 per project, the call for proposals is open to faculty members and research staff at public Spanish universities and research centres. Health is one of the three research fields - together with Energy and the Global Economy - that must be addressed for the proposals to be eligible. In this sense, the call for proposals is especially keen to attract applicants conducting research on cancer, AIDS-HIV, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, and global and planetary health.

Applicants will be informed of the results in mid-December 2017 and, if granted, funds will be available for use from January 2018 to August 2019. Check the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MITSI) website for further information on how to apply.
